It is expected that Kim’s treatment can cost up to $50,000. Since OHIP and her private plan refuse to fund Kim’s medical treatment in the United States, your financial help would be greatly appreciated. Every donation makes a difference and helps Kim on her way to recovery.

No Support from the Ontario Health Insurance Plan or Private Plan

Despite searching for alternative health services and treatment options since the onset of her illness, Kim has been unsuccessful in securing needed funding. She has researched her condition and discussed referrals to certain Ontario and Quebec hospitals with her family physician. She has been in contact with the Mayo Clinic to attend a clinical trial in Rochester, Minnesota. Sadly, neither OHIP nor her private health plan will cover the cost.

Medical research and clinical trials are important opportunities to advance the understanding and treatment of various illnesses. Kim desperately wishes to regain her quality of life.
